Villa Pian del Rocchio is a place designed to take on the features of the people staying there, to respect their inclinations and their wish to stay where they feel truly at ease.

Therefore, whoever is interested in just sunbathing, reading, sleeping, and listening to music are absolutely welcome to do so.

But for those of you who fancy a little movement, who see your vacation as a chance to practise a sport, play a game, or learn more about something of interest at the villa or in the immediate vicinity, there are plenty of opportunities, always in harmony with your tastes and aptitudes, or even just your whims.

Some guests yearn for the concentrated tranquillity of a game of backgammon at poolside or in the shade of the veranda; others prefer the noisy excitement of table football, the competition of billiards, or an athletic game of ping pong. And some visitors enjoy relaxing with their favourite card game, or being involved in a bridge tournament, board and bidding box are available.

These are just some of the activities that can be enjoyed inside the villa. Then there is the intense green in which it is immersed, starting from its park and extending to all of Umbria - the natural setting for the silent thrill of archery or the age-old competition of a bocce game; or you can enjoy trekking and hiking, or ride off on one of the mountain bikes we supply to our guests, and take in Pian del Rocchio's luxuriant surroundings. Plus, Golf Club di Perugia (18 holes, 5,750 metres, Par 72) is just a half-hour away by car.

Moreover, guests who choose to spend their vacations between August and September, at vintage time, can satisfy their curiosity and take part in grape picking among the rows of vineyards not far from the villa.

Willing guests who arrive at olive-picking time between October and November can get hands-on experience at the nearby olive mill, where the new oil can be savoured with delicious bruschette around the fireplace.

In and out of doors, and whatever their passion, the villa’s guests can find what they are looking for, bringing their days into harmony with the rhythms – slow or quick, or invented on the spot – of the sophisticated art of doing exactly what they wish.
